The RTG facilitates training for all response partners to prepare for and provide a unified response to disasters and emergencies – from the smallest incident to the largest catastrophe. The RTG provides comprehensive training to the LA Region's Firefighters for an all-hazards approach to incident response.
Regionalizing and standardizing training ensures the fire service can take advantage of the closest available unit regardless of jurisdiction and speed up the response.
Training everyone on the basics of all special operations within a common command system acts as a force multiplier that ramps up resource leverage, actually increasing the capacity of first responders and special teams to handle the most critical work which terrorism or disasters present.
The regional fire service training system uses trained instructors to deliver the necessary training at cost-effective shared regional facilities of all types or via online training through multi-media communications to fire stations from Lancaster to Long Beach. The key is to train all Firefighters in the LA Area as one.
